The present day scientists discovered that phenomenon of folding formed the mountain ranges.
Actually the earth’s crust is in the form of solid shell, having the hot layer beneath thus not suitable for any life to survive.
With this modern thought let us now correlate the same with below Qur’an verse
“Have We not made the earth an expanse and the mountains stakes?” Qur’an, 78:6-7
A strong foundation for geological folds is none other than the stakes (awtaad), that are driven through the ground. This modern knowledge in-line with Qur’an’s standing towards formation of mountains.
